Lemberg Castle stands on a stone pier above the village of Lemberg pri novi Cerkvi, along the road between the Nova Cerkev and Dobrna, and belongs to the municipality of Vojnik. The first indirect reference to the castle is in the 1213 document, in which the witness is Eberhard of Lemberg –  vlscalcus de rauenberch et frater eius Eberhardus de Leuburch. In 2007, it was bought by the current owner, historian and geographer Franci Zidar, who has since been involved in the reconstruction and plans for new cultural contents. Once a year, on the first Sunday of September, the castle is revived when the cultural-ethnological event, the castle afternoon, is organized.
