In the context of the operation, we plan to create new experiences that visitors to Dobrna will immerse themselves in with all their senses – this will create an explosion of such positive emotions that they will want to share them with other people. The experiences of Dobrna will be adapted to the visitor; moreover, visitors will be able to adjust them to their needs and desires. With the new VisitDobrna mobile application of enriched reality, the integrated tourist experience of Dobrna’s cultural heritage will encourage visitors to get involved, to use interactive digital experiences, and to interact with the local community by showing old customs and crafts.

The main activities of the Cultural heritage digitalisation in the Municipality of Dobrna project include:

  • Digitalisation of the exterior (3D model) of three units of cultural heritage: Šumej black kitchen, Health clinic, and Vovk mill.
  • 3D photography of the interior of the above-indicated cultural heritage units, for the purpose of creating three new tourist products.
  • Training conducted for tourism services providers and those employed in tourism (Storytelling, Visitors under the spotlight, and Green tourism).
  • Creation of 5-star experiences.
  • Purchase of equipment for the arrangement of an experience centre (smart desk, information stands, and VR glasses for a better interpretive experience). Development of the VisitDobrna mobile application.
  • Operation management.

The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union, from the European Regional Development Fund.
