The learning apiary is located below the foot of a hill opposite the Dobrna Elementary School. It was installed in 2011 with funds from the Fund for the Conservation of the Carniolan Bee at the Beekeeping Association of Slovenia. The learning apiary serves students who are included in the Dobrna Elementary School’s Beekeeper Circle, for a more in-depth understanding of the bee’s life and working with them. At the learning apiary, flowering honey plants are planted, which offer beets nectar and pollen.
